Although there may be others, this lists serves as a solid foundation. To increase the acuity of our mind so that it is not buried beneath the mire and muck of our automatic brain, the nerves need to be strong so not to be overwhelmed by those of our automatic brain. Strong nerves need a strong wall, a thick skin so to speak, and that comes from omega-3 and omega-9 fatty acids, found in fatty fish, egg yolks, avocados, olive oil, nuts, and seeds.
Preventing breakdown from “internal rusting” helped by the anti-oxidant effects from the polyphenols in chocolate, coffee, curry, and berries. Whole grains (and honey not included in this list) can supply a healthy source of glucose (sugar) which is the only nutrient that the brain uses for energy. Our nervous system is bathed in water so we need an adequate intake to allow for proper “electrical” conduction and general buoyancy of the nervous system tissue.
